As of a week ago we had a new contract with the seller, for a new lower price. There were many plans thought up and tossed out before we settled on a number roughly in between the original offer price and the bank's appraisal. So, awesome, right? I mean, I am not at all unsympathetic to the seller getting hosed by the bank, but I can feel bad for them and happy for us at the same time.

However, one hiccup and I'm convinced the process is doomed. I'm still too anxious and superstitious to believe it's a done deal until it's literally a done deal which supposedly it will be at high noon on Tuesday.
