My neighborhood is covered in crunchy, brown leaves that give off a whiff of dirt and decay that smells distinctly like Fall. This makes me all nostalgic for sweaters and scarves and the smell of Christmas trees and I get all, "Hey, remember when it was cold?" Of course when it actually was cold all I could think of were beaches and the smell of Coppertone. I am never satisfied!

False Fall melancholy aside, I am enjoying the hell out of Summer. We've been up to the house almost every weekend which on the one hand (the hand doing all the driving) is exhausting but on the other is the Culmination of All My Childhood Dreams.

Childhood is definitely the theme of this summer. All I want to do is wear my bathing suit 24/7, smell like the beach, eat popsicles and read Nancy Drew.
